Let's Scrap Sketch 7-2-14

The sketch for this week on Let's Scrap....
and here is what I created
PICKING STRAWBERRIES in STELLENBOSCH

This layout is for my daughters album! While on holiday in Cape Town during December 2013 we went strawberry picking. My children had such fun and picked over 5kg of strawberries!
I used mainly cardstock for this layout, with a bit of leftover pattern paper from a previous layout.
The strawberries I made myself using this tutorial I found on pinterest
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/270145677620054472/
Chipboard flourish and leaves with some strawberries!
 Bottom embellishment cluster!
The title was made up of stickers and chipboard letters that I painted!
Hop on over to Let's Scrap and take part in the week's challenge!
Happy Scrapping!

Three or Mor3 July Challenge

Hello Scrappy Friends,
Today at Three or Mor3 we are revealing our first challenge!
The challenge is to create a layout with three or more photos and the extra twist is to use frames!

For my layout I wanted to showcase my family!
I started my layout with a piece of white cardstock. and added some texture with gesso and a stencil.
Once this was dry I sprayed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in yellow and green. I also made some paint splats with Red Glimmer Mist.

The frames are chipboard.  Each frame I did different.
I covered two with paper, painted two with Acrylic paint and painted two with Clearsnap Smooch!
I embeliished with an assortment of flowers, pearls, buttons and rhinestones!!
To finish my layout I added in my title at the bottom.

I hope you join us at Three or Mor3 for the July Challenge!
You can Link up your creation at Three or Mor3 blog here and also see what the other design team members have created!
Thanks for popping by!

Lori's Lets Get Inky Challenge

Lori has posted a challenge on Let's Scrap to get inky!!!

Requirements: Card or Layout using any Let's Scrap past sketch and Ink.
This can be misting, spraying, dripping, and/or inking edges.
Get brave and try a tad bit more ink than you typically use!!!

And here is my entry.....ADORABLE....
I used Kaisercraft base coat as my background paper.
I then used gesso and a stencil to add some texture to my page.
Once it was dry I sprayed with different colored Tattered Angels glimmer mist's.
Once everything was dry, I added in my title using gesso and stickles.
Finally I adhered my photos and flowers!!

This page really came out colorful!

IT'S BEEN A WHILE!!

It's been a while since I last blogged.  But I guess its time to get back to it!!

This week has been a week of challenges!!

I created a very special layout of my parents, for two different challenge sites.

The first challenge was the colour scheme for the CSI challenge 112

and the sketch I used was from Canadian Scrapbooker.

I also tried a little dabber and stencil work in the corner.  I am a newbie to this, but I think it came out nice!!
Hope you like it!! Happy Scrapping!!
